Menachem Wiesenberg is the recipient of the ACUM Lifetime Achievement Award
Menachem Wiesenberg is the recipient of the ACUM (The Composers, Authors and Publishers Society of Israel) Lifetime Achievement Award for 2010.
Menachem will receive the award in a ceremony that will take place in Tel-Aviv on January 26, 2011.

An Octet Movement-Homage to Mendelssohn in Berlin and Paris
The Berlin Philharmonic String Octet is going to perform my piece "An Octet Movement-Homage to Mendelssohn" at the Philharmonie-Kammermusicsaal Berlin on Spetemer the 20th and at the Louvre Auditorium on September the 22nd 2010.

"Reflections" in LA
I'll be hosted at The Colburn School Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles as composer in Residence from September the 21st until the 30th 2010. On September 25th my symphonic piece "Reflections" will be performed by the Colburn School Symphony Orchestra.

Metamorphosis II
The solo piano piece was commissioned by the 2008 Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition as one of the two mandatory pieces. The winner of the competition, Roman Rabinovitch has performed it many times since including on a live Television recital recorded by Mezzo channel in March 2009.

Encounters IV in Spain and Switzerland
The Suita Concertante (Encounters IV) for Classical Violin Klezmer Violin and Chamber Orchestra was performed in Spain and Switzerland between March 5th to March 9th 2008 by the Basel Chamber Orchestra conducted by Maestro David Stern.

Overture for Strings at the Eilat Festival
The Overture for Strings-Homage to Mendelssohn was performed on February the 28th at the Eilat Chamber Festival by the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. The piece was performed on December 3rd 2008 by the Georg Solti Chamber Orchestra in Budapest , Hungary and in February 2008 by the Jerusalem Camerata Orchestra in Israel.

Premiere of Double Concerto
The Premiere of the Double Concerto for Viola, Cello and Chamber Orchestra was performed in Bremen Germany on March 1st 2008.
The piece was performed by the world known Violist Tabea Zimmermann the virtuoso Israeli Cellist Hillel Zori and the Deutsche Bremen Kammerphilharmonie conducted by Maestro Steven Sloane. On December 25th and 26th 2008 the piece was performed in Israel with the same soloists accompanied by the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Noam Sheriff.
