"Li-Ron" Children Choir | Conductor: Ronit Shapira

This work was written for the “Li-Ron” children choir and their conductor Ronit Shapira, who also commissioned it. I wanted to juxtapose the vibrance of the young voices with the text that expresses the old person’s reflections and experience. I tried to capture both the ephemeral and cyclic nature of the time, but also its directional and rhythmic aspects. The musical language is distinctly modal, at moments even reminiscing Gregorian chants, especially in the unmetered sections.
